If your POE camera displays a "video loss" message, follow the step-by-step solutions below to resolve the issue:
1. Verify Power Supply and Connections
First, confirm if the camera is receiving power properly. Cover the camera lens to check if the infrared (IR) light switches on, which should be accompanied by a faint "click" sound (indicating the IR cut filter is functioning). If no IR activation is detected:
- Try replacing the Ethernet cable connected to the camera or switch to a different port on the POE switch.
-
Test alternative power sources: Connect the camera to a 12V DC power adapter or use a POE splitter to supply power independently.
2. Check IPC Channel Configuration and IP Settings
On your monitor, access the IPC channel configuration menu and follow these steps:
- Disable the "Auto Add" function, then click "Search" to see if the camera is detected for the affected channel.
-
If the camera is found but fails to connect, verify its IP address. Ensure it is in the 192.168.138.XXX range. If not, use our official search tool to modify the camera’s IP address to match this format.
3. Reset the Camera via Search Tool
If the above steps do not work, use our dedicated search tool to locate the camera on the network. Once found, initiate a factory reset to restore the camera to default settings. This often resolves software glitches or incorrect configurations causing video loss.
IF these cant help, please contact our service team for more details.(maybe your system needs to be upgraded )
